SSI Fellowship Programme 2014
Fellows advise the Software Sustainability Institute on important software, evangelise software practices and champion the adoption of best-of-breed software. Among many things Fellows are encouraged to organise and run Software Carpentry bootcamps. This years' Fellows 2013 have organised three bootcamps in the UK:
- Mike Croucher at the University of Manchester,
- Robin Wilson at the University of Southampton,
- Alex Chartier at the University of Bath.
Fifiteen Fellowships will be given to outstanding researchers at different stages in their career, from PhDs to Professors, and from a wide range of research disciplines in science, technology, engineering as well as in arts and humanities. Successful Fellows will have a demonstrable knowledge and visibility in their community and have excellent communication skills.

Fellowships last thirteen months and are available from 1 January 2014 through 31 March 2015. The deadline for the online applications is 27th September at 5 PM BST. The selected candidates will be invited to the face-to-face selection day in Manchester on Wednesday 13 November 2013, so please hold the date!
